About Invest Bangladesh

Invest Bangladesh is the apex investment promotion agency of Bangladesh, operating under the Prime Minister’s Office.

We bring together capabilities in investment facilitation, policy coordination, economic zone development and public-private partnerships, giving domestic and international investors a single point of access to opportunities across Bangladesh.

Established in August 2026 under the Invest Bangladesh Act, 2026, Invest Bangladesh was formed through the merger of three erstwhile government agencies: the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) and the Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA).

Our support for investors spans the investment lifecycle, from market entry and project development to expansion. By coordinating across government, we help businesses navigate approvals, access investment-ready locations and address policy barriers to growth.

We also operate BanglaBiz, Bangladesh’s single digital platform for investment services, providing online, time-bound access to business licences and permits.

Our national mandate is to mobilise private capital, enable businesses to grow and support Bangladesh’s long-term economic growth and job creation.
